The AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Kennet Island Residents Association will take place on Monday 1st March at 7.30pm at the Piazza Cafe.

For the AGM to take place, 30% or more of the membership needs to be present.

At this meeting:

  • The report of the Committee will be distributed
  • Financial Statements relating to the affairs of the association up to 31st January will be circulated
  • The Election of the Committee will take place
  • Any proposals to change the constitution will be voted upon (notice must have been given to the secretary at least 14 days prior to the AGM)*

Nomination for election is to be made only by members present at an AGM or by prior written notice and the quorum for an AGM shall be 21.  Voting shall be by a show of hands or by a ballot, based on one member one vote.

The following Committee Positions Available are:

Four Officers

  • Chairperson
  • Vice Chairperson
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

8 Ordinary Members which include

  • Social Secretary
  • Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator
  • Membership Secretary
  • Parking Manager

All proposals for changes to the current constitution need to be sent to the secretary by emailing Emma Lampard via  emma.lampard@kennet-island.co.uk.  These need to be recieved by Midnight on Sunday 14th February 2010.
