A Neighbourhood Watch Group was formed on Kennet Island at the beginning of 2010. We are still in our formation stage and looking for members.
Being part of NHW involves:
- receiving the Thames Valley Police notifications for our area via email
- attending meetings to discuss problems and strategies to solve them (usually these meetings take place during the KIRA monthly meeting on the first Monday of every month)
- being observant in your community, know who to trust and who to challenge
- report any suspicious or anti-social behaviour to the TVP non-emergency number 0845 8 505 505 (or if a crime is taking place dial 999).
